As of now, we only offer our courses in English.2

Yes, our courses are available worldwide provided that you have a computer and a broadband internet connection.

    1. Can I download e-book versions of the courses?

We do not have e-book versions of the course.

    1. Can my volunteers learn at their own pace?

Absolutely. We encourage the coordinators to review the materials first before structuring the programs based on their assessment of their volunteers’ abilities.

    1. What materials do I need for the course(s)?

You need a computer with a broadband internet connection. The links and PDFs are provided online. You can take down notes with your own pen and paper.

    1. Will I get a certificate?

Yes, we will give certificates. Please be informed that we are not yet accredited with any tertiary institutions.

No, the NGO Academy is not affiliated with the UN either DPI or ECOSOC. However, those providing the training have worked with organizations with ECOSOC, general and special consultative status as well as in association with DPI.

Please note that takes 3 – 5 business days for the check to clear the bank once it is deposited. At that point, we will send you your login details and information. Don’t forget to indicate which level of membership when you send your check.

    1. How long do I have to wait for the courses after payment?

The members area will be available immediately after you pay. The first module will be released within a few days and will be followed by a new module each week within a month.

    1. What credit cards do you accept?

We are currently accepting Mastercard and Visa cards only.
If at some stage you do choose a PayPal option and choose to use their service to pay by credit card then you will also have the options they provide, which usually includes American Express and Discover.

    1. Do I need to download anything once I’ve paid for the Advocacy Algorithm?

There’s no need for you to download anything unless you’d like to have MP3s, PDFs, check lists, and swipe files where these are provided.

    1. Why is there no sound in my video?

    1. How do I read the pdf files?

Under each video is a small graphic that looks like this:

When you click on this, the download of the pdf file will be initiated. You just need to tell your browser where you want the file saved. You can then open it, and print it out for your use.

    1. Where can I get Adobe Reader, and is it free?

Adobe Reader is free and you can download it to your computer from here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/ Just follow the installation instructions provided by Adobe on their site. Once it has been installed and the program started, you can open the pdfs from each lesson.

    1. Can I download the audio files to my computer?

Under each video is a small graphic that looks like this:

When you click on this icon you will normally be directed immediately to another page when you can play the mp3 audio file. OR you can “right click” on this icon, then chose “save link as…” from the options and save the file to your computer. You can then upload it to your mobile phone, mp3 player or burn it to a cd for your use. REMEMBER, this is copyrighted material and is only available for your personal use. It should not be uploaded to any public computer or site. It took many hours of work, study and preparation. Please do respect our efforts to provide you with top quality training.
