Background
The WFWPI Office for UN Relations in New York, in conjunction with Global Development Enterprise / NGO Academy, has designed a 3-month program to raise and equip a new generation of WFWP leaders ready to actualize solutions to the challenges WFWP leaders experience each day. Standing on WFWP’s strong foundation, we wish to equip the new generation of WFWP leaders with a forward-looking approach to identify opportunities for growth and impact.
WFWPI Office for UN Relations is offering a scholarship which covers the entire cost of the program ($3,000 value). There is an application fee of $100 to apply for the course. We strongly recommend the regions or the local chapters to cover this application fee for a promising young leader from their region. The top 20 applicants will be selected and whoever is not selected will be refunded the full application fee.
Vision
The vision of Activate 2022 is to provide a holistic, impact-driven and practical leadership training for WFWPI’s visionary and peace-loving young leaders to activate and unleash their creative and productive potentials, equip them to make positive influence in their communities and the ever-changing world.
Criteria for application:
Are you a self-driven, motivated, and passionate team leader, organizational leader, entrepreneur and/or emerging leader? Here is an amazing opportunity for you. Applicants must be willing to participate in all aspects of the leadership training program and must be prepared to commit 3 months of their time to it. Applicants should be passionate about working or advocating for peace and conflict transformation, climate change, permaculture, and other thematic areas of Women’s Federation for World Peace. Successful applicants must also be prepared to work on developing small projects to implement in their communities.
Completed application forms should be submitted no later than 5:00 PM EDT, August 5, 2022. Applicants must submit this application form with a copy of their resumes. No resumes will be accepted without the application form.

How long do I have to apply?
Applications are welcome until 5:00 PM EDT, August 5, 2022.
At that time we will begin the review and selection process.
If you miss this time, you will be able to participate as a regular paying participant in ACTIVATE 2022 by paying the (still great) WFWPI negotiated price of $1,000 USD.

Can I start my application and finish it later?
This form will allow you to start your application then pickup from where you left off. Make sure that you return to editing your application form on the same device you started.
What information do I need to prepare?
You will be asked to provide:
- Basic personal information, including how to contact you, where you are, etc.
- Confirmation that you can make the time commitment for the training. Program Sponsors want to ensure those chosen will make optimal use of this opportunity.
- Insight about you and your vision for your leadership through written responses.
- Your current resume.
- An application fee of $100.
NOTE: This application fee will be refunded to those who do not receive the $3,000 scholarship. - Consent to retain records of the information you are submitting.
- An attestation that what you are submitting is true and correct.
Can I submit my application fee later?
Upon completion of your application, you will be sent to a payment page where you to submit your application fee.
You will also be sent (for your records) a copy of your submission and a link to the payment page in the case you didn’t pay immediately.
Please note: Your application will not be considered until your application fee has been paid.
What payment methods can I use?
You can pay either with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) or via PayPal.
Please make arrangements with someone who does have one of these to make the payment on your behalf.
